Suzanne McDonald is President of Nakupuna Consulting, LLC and has been with the Nakupuna Companies since 2017.
Her role at the Nakupuna Companies involves applying her strategic planning and tactical execution expertise to help further Nakupuna’s mission to serve clients with the goal of delivering enduring, impactful outcomes. She supports the development and execution of the Nakupuna Companies’ long-term growth strategies, organizational alignment, and improvement of operational execution. Her dedication to the Nakupuna Companies’ mission to create and implement innovative solutions for our clients makes her an invaluable resource for our program managers and stakeholders at every level.
With close to 20 years working in government consulting, her career tenure includes contributing and advising on a wide range of strategic projects for the Department of Defense. She has designed, tailored, and implemented strategic planning processes for agencies and organizations as diverse as the Chaplain Corps of the United States Navy, to the Joint Staff Logistics Directorate. Suzanne’s unique ability to quickly understand complex challenges and visualize the “as-is” and “to-be” environments for organizations of any size or mission ensures measurable results for her clients.
Suzanne’s difference-making influence is felt well beyond our daily operations, including her involvement in organizing and participating in workforce building events in the National Capitol region, Colorado, and Hawaii. She has volunteered cleaning ancient Hawaiian fishponds on Oahu with the Mālama Loko Ea Foundation, and closer to her home in Arlington, she supports the Junior Diabetes Research Foundation, the Arlington Food Assistance Center, and the Yellow Ribbon Fund.
Suzanne earned her master’s degree in Business Administration from Vanderbilt University and holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of the South.

Before working in government consulting, Suzanne sold airplanes (oversaw the sale of aviation assets).
